Summits, Conferences & Dialogues

As an important part of our commitment to ensuring a sane and sustainable energy future for America, the Institute is working with a number of state Governors who are leaders in the energy space. This work also involves leaders and innovators from key industry sectors, experts from our National Laboratories and other energy technology organizations and representatives from the Federal Government. Our intention is to co-host a series of special strategic transportation energy summits out of which will come a new, collaborative consortium of key industry stakeholders – all of whom stand to benefit substantially from their participation. These special strategy sessions will be followed by the execution of one or more innovative, statewide pilot transportation programs. Once the plan template is fully articulated and the metrics established, it can then serve as the model for a national rollout.

These ReEmpoweringAmerica Energy Summits will be the first in a series of ongoing conferences, dialogues and symposiums the Institute will convene and/or collaborate on in 2009 and in the future. These gatherings will include private strategic dialogues with critical stakeholders and much larger public conferences and product/service exhibitions.
