Our mission is to conceive, nurture and collaborate in the execution of innovative solutions to America’s energy challenges. While our initial focus is on transportation sector and the execution of REAP, The ReEmpoweringAmerica Plan, because we believe it is the fastest, most direct and achievable path our nation can take to significantly reduce and then eliminate our dependence on foreign oil and the resulting economic and geo-political imbalance and instability this dependence creates, we also recognize that there are a number of other viable alternative fuels and related technologies that need to be fully explored and developed.  For the next decade or two, however REAP will serve as viable and necessary time bridge while the new electric grid, wind, solar, batteries and fuel cells will be vetted and made available as primary elements in the long term sustainable energy picture.

Our primary committed therefore is to ensuring long term energy independence that will ensure economic prosperity, the long term health of our habitat, and the elimination of energy related causes of international conflict.

We also believe that through the development and execution of alternative fuels and related technologies and strategies we can put our enormous national talent, innovation and resources to work modeling a path toward establishing a global community that is sane and sustainable.

The Founders

The Re-empoweringAmerica Institute has been co-founded by Dr. Robert Falco and George Cappannelli.

Dr. Robert Falco is a leading innovator in transportation energy. He holds BS and MS Degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University. At Princeton he earned a PhD in Aerospace and Applied Mechanics and went on to do 5 years of Post Doctoral research work at Cambridge University, then the world center for fluid turbulence. Robert joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of Michigan State University, where he established the Turbulence Structure Laboratory and taught for 19 years.

Robert has also had a distinguished career consulting with National Laboratories such as LANL, LLNL, NASA, also AFOSR, ONR, DOE, and some of the leading Aerospace Companies such as Boeing, and automobile companies such as Ford. Dr. Falco can be contacted at robert.f@reempoweringamerica.com.

George Cappannelli is the CEO and president of The Information and Training Company under whose auspices he serves as consultant and executive coach to a number of Fortune 500 Companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations. He is an author and political advisor. His innovative work in the field of individual, organizational and societal change makes him a sought-after motivational speaker, as well as an executive coach to some of the country’s top CEO’s. George is also the CEO and Founder of AgeNation, a new company dedicated to redefining what it means to live consciously and age wisely in the 21st Century.

His books include: Say Yes To Change, Authenticity, I Dream of a New America and It’s About Time. His new book, co-authored with his wife Sedena, Making The Best Of The Rest Of Your Life, is due out in the Spring of 2009. George is an Emmy Award winning producer/director and the co-founder of The International Integrity Foundation. He served as Director of The Society For The Advancement Of Human Spirit, an organization chaired by The Dalai Lama. In 1991 he managed a U.S. Senate campaign in California and has served as a special strategist and consultant in two presidential campaigns.
